Fasor Lutheran Church

The historic building record prepared as part of the scientific documentation of Fasor Lutheran Church focuses exclusively on the main facade and its valuable cultural heritage items. The rose window made up of 24 panels of came glass by Miksa Róth, along with the 'Christ and the Children' mosaic of the lunette above the main gates required immediate action. Important precondition for their further preservation included the reinforcement of cracked stone elements that had been displaced by building movements, a solution for roof drainage and to stop moisture infiltrating the walls. The inventory also covers modern elements from before the obtained protected status in 2013 (lamps, accessibility railings), which also had to be replaced with versions matching a heritage church.
