Our project for the Visitor Centre consists of interior design of the renovated spaces and design of the new exhibition installation, including the development of a new information system. The exhibition in the building, titled The Nature of Hortobágy, aims to present the rich nature of Puszta, and to provide a scientific background for the ethnographic exhibitions. The central element of the installation is titled The Network of Life, inspired by the cracks of saline soil. Accompanying the exhibition, a unit consisting of an information desk, a museum shop and a café caters to the visitor with its subtle interior design, that takes a contemporary approach to traditional materials and also uses the works of local basket weavers.
