The present-day facade of Jenő Svarcz's imposing residental building is greatly different from the kind of Baroque Revival version that can be found in the original plans, and the eventual Art Nouveau-Eclectic-Orientalist appearance has also been simplified dramatically during times. Parallel to the upcoming 21th century modernization, the community of owners in this emblematic house of Bartók Béla Boulevard decided to restore as many original elements as possible, including the oval window of the legendary Csontváry-atelier, or the missing towers of the roof section facing Gárdonyi square. Noticeably, these two even survived World War II, and fell victims to later reconstructions mysteriously.
The renewal of the roof structure has been divided into three phases. Designs for the tin roof finials of Bercsényi street side, being part of the first phase, has been made after a very careful research to make up the detailed information missing from the original drawings. Another Svarcz work at 51 Király Utca remained in a more authentic condition, and as being referred as Hadik House's 'sibling' in some sources, it served as further reference for other elements of  Hadik's original look.
